How to migrate a WordPress website?
There are many plugins you’ll find in the WordPress plugin directory. There are some popular plugins like UpdraftPlus, Duplicator, BackupBody.
Today I’ll show you the easiest way to migrate your WordPress website using All-in-One WP Migration plugin. So basically the end result is the same but the process by which you actually go about transferring your website from one domain to another is a little bit different from the only one WP migration plugin.
Let’s get started:
I would like to transfer my fresh site from one domain to my localhost. I have installed XAMPP on my laptop. I have already installed WordPress 5.5.1 version to my system.
How to install All-in-One WP Migration plugin:
- What I’ve done is I have already gone ahead to install and activate it the all-in-one WP migration plugin you can sit right here and follow the process what i am doing now.
All right i have installed the All-in-one WP migration.
- Tap on All-in-one WP migration Export.
- Click on the Export option and tap on “File”
- After completion of the backup, you need to download the file which is your backup file. Save it to a safe drive.
Now move forward to the 2nd process.
You need to follow the same process. Install the All-in-one WP migration plugin to your other domain or hosting site.
- Tap on All-in-one WP migration Export.
- Click on the Import option and tap on “File”
- Upload your backup file which you have downloaded recently.
- Once the file has finished the importing process, click on continue.
That’s it. The old site is migrating to your new site.
Once the migration process is completed logout from your dashboard and checks the login process again with the old ID & Password. Click on the new Permalink Settings. Click on it and save changes.
