The California based tech giant Apple was recently ordered by US court to pay a sum of over $500 million in damages and interest over the patent violation.
The Texas Court has ordered Apple to pay the fine to PanOptis after the company had sued Apple in February 2019. PanOptis had sued Apple for non-payment of royalty to the firm over the 4G patents.
The violations were caused to the intellectual property held by PanOptis in form of 4G patents. Apple now has to pay a sum of over $500mn to PanOptis as compensation.
