By On 26th July 2022 India has concluded on the 5G spectrum. Jio has taken the most 5G bands during the auction. Jio has acquired a 5G spectrum in the 700MHz, 800MHz, 1800MHz,3300MHz and 26Hz bands. Total Jio has 26,772MHz spectrum which is highest in the country. The telco also gained the highest sub-GHz 5G spectrum and 1,000 MHz mmWave (26 GHz) across 22 circles in India.
During the auction, Bharti Airtel acquired a 19,867 MHz spectrum with bid amount 43,084 crore and Vi got a 2,668 MHz spectrum with bid amount 18,784 crore. In the auction Adani Group also participated and got 400 MHz spectrum with bid amount 212 crore.Â
